On August 13, the Black McDonald’s Operators Association hosted their 2nd annual scholarship golf outing in partnership with UNCF Chicago. The outing helps to raises funds for the BMOA Scholarship which is awarded to talented and deserving African American students from the Chicagoland area attending 4-year universities around the country. This year’s outing brought out more than 100 golfers for a fun-filled day at Harborside International Golfer Center on Chicago’s south side including Chicago sports legends Otis Wilson and Mark Aguirre.

Check out a few photos of the day:

The single-day event raised more than $32,000 towards the scholarship fund and counting!  Programs like this continue to showcase the BMOA’s commitment to education at all levels.

Leon Rogers from WGCI-FM stopped by to have a little fun with the golfers at several of the holes by sharing jokes and posing for photos at the Build-A-Burger game.
Chicago Bears legend, Otis Wilson was on-hand to play 18 holes with the BMOA and even secured one of the better Golf scores of the day.

Lastly, a special thanks goes out to all of the MOCNI owner/operators, vendors and corporate partners that supported this year’s event. Your generous contributions are instrumental in shaping the next generation of leaders by helping them get to and through college.
